Our Contribution
General Education
Trust has been extending the financial support to the poor and deserving children in their pursuit of education starting from primary level to professional level. The payment of educational fees is done directly to the institution concerned. The application is entertained based on the poor economic status, family employment background and the meritorious track record of the students. The continuity of financial support for the subsequent years of study is guaranteed only if the meritorious performance of the student is maintained. The applicants are required to submit the request form with adequate supporting documents.
STIPEND SCHEME
To ensure the sustainability of Heritage education, the Trust has formulated a Stipend Scheme for the teachers and parents of the students. The scheme is based on the students’ strength and timely completion of studies and will ensure reduction in students’ drop out. It takes about 6 years for completion of the first level of Vedic education by a student. The stipend scheme financially supports them every month and envisages monitoring of their progress every two years.
Under the scheme for payment of stipends to the students of Heritage education, the beneficiaries are motivated to preserve and propagate the education with enthusiasm. The payment of stipend will be done to the teachers running the “Gurukulam” and to the poor/deserving parents of the students till the completion of the course. Continuation of stipend depends on the student passing out the periodical examination conducted by the Trust thus assuring quality education. Students are methodically exposed to social requirements through Knowledge Development Programmes of the Trust over their curriculum period. The scheme proposes payment of monthly stipend to students pursuing higher education too. Besides monthly payments, the scheme provides for a lumpsum payment to students on completion of their course.
As per the scheme proposed, it requires a corpus of Rs. 6,00,000/- per student to support his education over a period of 6 years. This corpus will serve perpetually to support the new entrant into the scheme.
